About the Heart Pro
The Heart Pro is a must have app for anyone studying anatomy and is aimed at students with a basic to advanced level of anatomical medical knowledge as well as medical professionals. The user can manipulate the heart on screen by rotating, slicing and labeling the heart and its components. The user can also change the transparency of various elements of the Heart to give phantom views which aid in identifying exact positioning. Animations and an interactive quiz are also available. 360° Rotate & Slice
The heart can be fully rotated with a quick swipe, users can also zoom in and out of the heart. And rather than just the standard anatomical views, you can now observe the location of a heart component from different angles such as inferior and superior views. Transverse, Coronal and Sagittal cross sections are also available with full labeling.
View Animations
The Heart Pro contains several animations which demonstrate phenomena such as blood flow in a beating heart, the heart's conduction system and a beating heart from a number of different views. By simply double tapping / double clicking on the screen an animation for that view will be played. The Heart Pro also has built-in tutorial/help videos. Layers, Pins and Quizzes
The Heart Pro is comprised of four different layers, the heart tissue, veins, arteries and conduction nerves. The transparency of the heart tissue, vessels and nerves can be changed to view their interdependency. By pressing and holding on the transparency button, an options window will appear, where the opacity of each layer can be controlled. This allows different comparative views.
By pressing the index button the user is offered an index of the pins available. If a pin name is selected the app will take the user to that pin and label it or a user can simply press the pin button on the floating toolbar and it will show all the pins available on the current screen. On selecting a pin the user can view detailed information and add notes as well as create custom pins!
Users can also test their knowledge with an interactive quiz. The app rotates the heart and randomly, selects a pin - and then requests identification of this selected pin from six possible multi-choice answers (immediate feedback on the chosen answer is given).
